Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Eight Moose. By accessing or using Eight Moose (“the Platform” or “our Services”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Platform and Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform and Services immediately.


2. Eligibility

To use the Platform and Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom (for candidates).

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering on the Platform.


3. Services Description

Eight Moose provides recruitment and job placement services, including but not limited to candidate sourcing, employer matching, and related training opportunities.

Eight Moose is not the employer of candidates placed through the Platform. Any employment contracts are entered into directly between the candidate and the hiring company.


4. Candidate Responsibilities

Candidates using the Platform agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date CVs, qualifications, references, and other information.

  • Confirm eligibility to work in the UK and provide appropriate documentation when requested.

  • Understand that Eight Moose cannot guarantee employment or specific job offers.

Candidates will not be charged any fees for job-finding services, in accordance with the Employment Agencies Act 1973.


5. Employer/Client Responsibilities

Employers using the Platform agree to:

  • Provide accurate job descriptions, salary information, and employment terms.

  • Comply with all UK employment laws, health and safety regulations, and equal opportunity obligations.

  • Pay Eight Moose’s agreed recruitment fees in full and on time, as per the commercial agreement.

Eight Moose is not responsible for the conduct, performance, or suitability of candidates once hired.


6. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.


7. Payments and Fees

  • Employers/Clients: Recruitment and placement fees will be agreed in advance and are payable under the terms of your client agreement with Eight Moose.

  • Candidates: No charges apply for registration or job-finding services.

  • Additional services, such as optional training or business tools, may be offered at separate fees.


8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • All recruitment fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Training or course purchases on the Platform are final unless a satisfaction guarantee is expressly provided.

  • Refund requests, where applicable, will be handled on a case-by-case basis.


9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Eight Moose or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, or distribute this content without explicit permission.


10. User-Generated Content

You may be allowed to post or submit content such as reviews, comments, or feedback. By submitting such content, you grant Eight Moose a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide licence to use, modify, and distribute your content. You agree not to submit any content that is offensive, illegal, or violates third-party rights.


11. Data Protection & Privacy

Eight Moose complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Candidate and employer data will be collected, processed, and stored securely.

  • Personal information will only be used for recruitment purposes and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • By using the Platform, you consent to such data processing.


12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and Services are provided on an “as-is” basis. Eight Moose does not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that any candidate will secure employment, or that any candidate will meet an employer’s expectations.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Eight Moose shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Platform or Services.

  • Eight Moose is not responsible for disputes between candidates and employers once an employment contract is in place.


14. Compliance With Law

Eight Moose operates in accordance with the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.


15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.


16. Changes to the Terms

Eight Moose may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform and Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
